Clifford Village Hall is situated on Albion Street and comprises a large hall area capable of seating a large audience for various concerts and the regular productions staged by Clifford Drama Group;
and the smaller Supper Room used by the Parish Council for its meetings.
There is a good sized stage suitable for the most elaborate & ambitious of props & scenery (as frequently proven by the Drama Group!)
The main hall floor is marked out for Badminton. (Due to the low ceiling & light fitings there are special rules dealing with high flying shuttlecocks!)
There is also a useful kitchen quite sufficient to cater for as many folk as might be expected to throng the hall. Facilities include a selection of storage cupboards, a range oven and hob, a large water boiler, fridge, sink with Hot & Cold water, and as many glasses and sets of cutlery & crockery as you may wish to shake a stick at.
Full toilet facilities are provided for Ladies & Gents. Unfortunately after much deliberation it has not been possible to convert either of these to acommodate people in wheelchairs due to their constricted design.
However, the rest of the Village Hall area has been upgraded to allow easy access to wheelchair users.
Clifford Village Hall is a registered charity and has 5 Trustees who employ a cleaner. The Hall is available for hire by groups or individuals and many village activities take place here. It is the only village non-denominational building which is available for hire. The furniture and furnishings are also available for hire. The cost of keeping the Hall in good condition and up to legislative standards is very high so practical or financial help is always gratefully received.
