In most years the Council’s income is primarily the precept, collected by Leeds City Council, as part of the Council Tax. This is supplemented by occasional grants and one off payments which have to be used for a particular purpose. The end of year & quarterly accounts give a detailed view of income & expenditure down to individual transactions.
Every year the Council has to complete an Annual Return which gives a high level view of income & expenditure along with reports from the Council’s Internal & External Auditors.
Paper copies of the Returns for the last five years are available from the Clerk.

Notice of Conclusion of Audit (gives information on the rights of residents to see & question the accounts)
The Asset Register lists all the Council’s assets including land, street furniture and office equipment
The Risk Management Scheme is a the Council’s assessment of its financial risks and the measures taken to help ensure that the risks are minimised.
When the Council has funds available for investment the they are invested according to the criteria set out in the Investment Policy to ensure that they are not put at risk.
