The 770/771 bus service, Leeds/Wetherby/Harrogate. This is the principal route serving Clifford.

Runs approximately half-hourly through the day, hourly in the evenings and on Sundays.   The route from Leeds is via Seacroft bus station, Whinmoor, Thorner, Bramham, Clifford then via Willow Lane to Boston Spa, Thorp Arch village, Walton corner, Wetherby, Spofforth, Follifoot, Rudding Park and into Harrogate along Wetherby Rd, where there is a stop close to the District Hospital.

The 173/174 bus service, Wakefield/Wetherby
Runs approx. two-hourly, Monday to Saturday only (no evening service), Wakefield to Wetherby via Woodlesford, Kippax, Garforth, Barwick, Aberford, Bramham, Clifford then via High St., Chapel Lane, St John’s Rd., Grove Rd. to Boston Spa then via Moor End to Wetherby.  Passes near Garforth railway station.

Other accessible routes
From Boston Spa:
The 923 service  Otley - Wetherby – Boston Spa -Tadcaster  
Runs approximately every 1½ hours, Monday to Saturday (no evening or Sunday service).  Stops at Moor End, Boston Spa Church and Pinetree Avenue.

From Wetherby:
The X70 service direct to Harrogate and operated by Harrogate Coach Travel runs approximately every half hour but not on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
The 77 service also direct to Harrogate and operated by Transdev runs approximately every half hour but not on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
The 412/413 service Wetherby -York runs approximately two-hourly Mon. - Sat.  daytimes, serving a number of villages along the route.
The 780 service Wetherby–Knaresborough runs approximately hourly Monday to Saturday.
The 98/X98/99 service Wetherby to Leeds Calls at Linton, Collingham, East Keswick and Bardsey.

From Tadcaster:

Yorkshire Coastliner  provides four journeys per hour in daytime between York and Leeds ( two each hour are faster,  direct journeys) with  a half-hourly service to Malton (evenings and Sundays, hourly) and a less frequent service to Scarborough, Whitby, Filey and Bridlington (additional journeys to the coast in summer)

Concessionary Fares

Metro offers a number of discount fare schemes including Metrocards (weekly, monthly and annual) and a range of Dayrovers.

A range of concessionary bus and train fares is available to school students, senior citizens (anyone over the age of 60), and people with disabilities.

The Metro permit (‘bus pass’) now offers free travel on local buses in all areas of England for senior citizens and disabled pass holders. In West Yorkshire these are valid from 9:30 a.m. (in North Yorkshire, inc. Tadcaster, from 9:00 a.m.) on weekdays, all day at weekends and public holidays. Some exclusions may apply e.g. on certain express bus services.

This Metro permit also entitles you to train travel within West Yorkshire only at the same times as for buses. The maximum concessionary fare on trains within the county is currently 35p. Look out for occasional special offers e.g. cheap day outings in winter on the Settle-Carlisle line. Please note that it does not apply to cross boundary journeys into other parts of Yorkshire or Greater Manchester.
 
Accessbus

For those with

mobility and other difficulties:
AccessBus is a dial-a-ride bus service providing door-to-door local transport to people of any age who are unable to use normal bus services or who have  extreme difficulty in doing so because of a disability.  The buses have low floor, ramped access or passenger lift and are fitted with the most up-to-date safety equipment.

AccessBus is free of charge to residents of West Yorkshire and operates between:
•    9am and 5.30pm Monday to Saturday
•    9am - 5pm on Sunday.
•    A limited evening service is available to groups of 5 or more.
You may take a companion with you if you need assistance while travelling or at your destination.

Due to the very high demand for the service travel is restricted to local journeys only. Most trips are for shopping purposes but we also provide a limited number of journeys for social purposes, e.g. to the local community centres.   AccessBus is not able to cater for day and time-specific requests for appointments.   We allocate places to customers to travel on the day when the bus is in their area.
